Problem Picnic: Attack of the Ants • Action-packed dicefest!

It's a perfect day for a picnic! The park fills with families, spreading their blankets, and setting out colourful plates loaded with delicious treats.
But there has never been a picnic without uninvited guests ... ANTS!!
In Problem Picnic: Attack of the Ants, players are competing ant colonies trying to steal the best plates of food from the picnic blankets. In this 2-4 player, dice-rolling dexterity game, the dice are your ants. Roll them onto the picnic cards, trying to get the most ants onto the foods and plate colours you want. Different custom dice at your disposal represent your industrious Workers, speedy Scouts, and sturdy Soldiers. At the end of the day, the colony that has arranged their stolen plates to best satisfy the whims of the Queen will earn the most points and win the game!

You didn't think we'd leave you hanging after we got so close to unlocking that Wine Bottle Stretch Goal, did you? Well, here's some good news for those of you who were disappointed that we didn't make it.

Problem Picnic Mini-Expansion coming to BackerKit
We've consulted with our manufacturer to find a way to make it happen. When you get your BackerKit emails in a couple of weeks, you'll have the opportunity to add-on this Mini-Expansion to your base game. The Mini-Expansion includes four new Round Cards AND a fantastic punchboard with a Wine Bottle Token, and Blueberry Pie Token, and a Frisbee Token. We want you to have the only the best, Ants. So there it is!
What We're Up To
Besides working really hard to get the art done for the game, finalizing manufacturing costs, and working diligently on your BackerKit surveys, we're heading to:
Yes! We're taking the family on the road (well, we'll be flying) to discover what is new and exciting in the world of kids toys and games. We won't have a booth, but if you are going to be around the fair on the 19th and 20th, drop us a line. We'd love to meet up with our backers and show you the reviewer copy of Problem Picnic in person.

It's been a couple of weeks since the campaign for Problem Picnic ended. You deserve an update! And just as I began to write one to you, this comes in ...
The Votes Have Been Tallied - The Decision Has Been Made
We really want the Ant Dice to look fabulous with the game. We took into account the various colour blindnesses so that we can minimize it as an issue. In the end, the people have spoken. Check out our FINAL dice colours:

If you voted, thanks so much for taking part! It was really fun to hear what people think. It was even more fun to have you, our backers, part of the decision making process. This is definitely something we are going to do for future campaigns.

What's Next?
We promise to keep you updated every step of the way over the next several months. We want to remain as transparent as we have been.

Hello my Army of Ants,
First and foremost, let us say thank you for everything you have done for us, and, for yourselves! You worked really hard to make this game a reality. Josh, Scott, and I cannot wait to bring you this action packed, dice chucking, dream of a game!!
We Did It!
Not Only That ...
We made the Second Chance Social Stretch Goal, as well as the Picnic Basket Stretch Goal. These stretch goals are for backers only and will not be included in the normal retail version of the game (though we may make them available as promotional items later on).
We also achieved the Round Card Upgrade Stretch Goal, which means that all versions of Problem Picnic will come with gorgeous Round cards and fun tokens for improved gameplay action.
What's Next?
First, Josh and I pass out from all this excitement and sleep for like three days. Then we collect ourselves, finish up the art, submit it, it gets manufactured, sent to our warehouses around the world, and then shipped to your front door. Sweet! Watch your email in the next week or two for a survey from us asking about your pledge and any extras you may have added.

Hello my Army of Ants!
As we enter into the final few hours of the campaign, first of all we need to thank you so much for your support along the way. It has been an incredible experience and we are so grateful for your trust in us to being you a great game.
Secondly, we want to remind you that it is in your power to add two awesome cards to your game now, before the campaign ends! We have over 600 backers now, and we need only about 50 more likes on the Problem Picnic Facebook page, and about 190 more followers on the @KidstableBG twitter feed. Surely we can find the likes and followers among our ranks and improve the game, yes? A few simple clicks on your end will get us there! Remember what the goals are:

I guess this is going to be a day full of updates. First of all, welcome to our many new backers, and thank you to those who haver recently upgraded their pledges.
Don't forget, you can add on any number of Problem Picnic: Attack of the Ants, without having to pay for extra shipping.
Also, if you are in Canada or the US, you can add on a fantastic t-shirt or Foodfighters for $29 each. No extra shipping for these add ons either.
We are really working to get you those Social Stretch Goals, and that fantastic Picnic Basket "backers only" Stretch Goal. Trust me, we are really working.
